Storage and Maintenance Specifications for Industrial Use BOPET Metallized Film

1. Storage Environment Requirements

Store the Industrial Use BOPET Metallized Film in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. The environmental humidity should be controlled at 40% - 65%. Keep it away from high-temperature heat sources, rainwater, and outdoor stacking; the rolls should be placed upright and no large-scale heavy pressure stacking is allowed. Avoid the film being compressed and deformed, and the aluminum layer being worn and oxidized.

2. Cycle Management of Roll Storage

The recommended regular inventory is to use up within 6 months. Follow the principle of first-in, first-out. For rolls stored for more than 6 months, take a small sample before processing on the machine to test the adhesion of the coating and the corona value to confirm that the performance meets the standards before mass production.

3. Maintenance Key Points for Machine Processing

Adjust the film tension of the processing equipment to the medium or low position to avoid excessive tension that causes the coating to crack; the temperature for thermal bonding should not be kept too high for a long time to prevent the aluminum layer from accelerating oxidation; keep the cutting tools smooth and sharp to reduce the generation of aluminum chips at the cutting edge.

4. Daily Protection of Coating

The hardness of the aluminum layer is low. During handling and rewinding, avoid direct contact of sharp and hard objects with the film surface. For thin industrial films, priority should be given to using suspended supports or export supports for packaging to prevent the rolls from rubbing against each other and causing mirror scratches.

5. Protection and Maintenance during Long-Distance Transportation

For short-distance land transportation within the country, cross/vertical supports can be selected; for cross-border shipping, long-distance transportation, it is necessary to use export moisture-proof supports, combined with moisture-proof protective films, desiccants, and corner protection frames to resist high humidity condensation on the sea and prevent the aluminum layer from losing luster and losing aluminum.
