PET Silicone Coated Film

The PET Silicone Coated Film produced by Jincheng Manufacturer is made on a biaxially stretched polyester film base. It is precisely coated with food-grade organic silicone release coating on one side, forming an environmentally friendly isolation substrate. It is also commonly referred to in the industry as PET silicone film. The base material has a native high transparency and no fog point. Combined with standardized double-sided differentiated corona treatment, one side has a 52-54 dyna high adhesion corona layer that can be adapted for back adhesives and composite processing, while the other side has a 42-46 dyna base layer specifically for silicone coating application, ensuring uniform silicone oil adhesion without silicone detachment.

Jincheng Factory supplies you with high-quality China PET Silicone Coated Film, with thickness ranging from 12μm to 150μm in multiple gradient specifications. We can customize three types of silicone coating formulas - light silicone, medium silicone, and heavy silicone according to your requirements for adhesive peeling. The peel force values can be precisely customized as per your needs. It is suitable for the isolation requirements of different viscosity adhesive systems. The substrate itself has stable dimensional stability. It will not shrink, warp or deform under long-term 150-160℃ short-term high-temperature conditions. The thickness of the silicone coating is uniform without any missed coating, silicon points, or transfer and de-siliconation problems.

This product eliminates the use of traditional paper-based release materials. It is recyclable and does not cause paper dust pollution. It comes with five packaging solutions: simple packaging, horizontal and vertical pallets, suspended protective supports, and export moisture-proof pallets. It caters to the domestic mass production needs of adhesive tape factories, electronic processing factories, and hygiene product factories, as well as the cross-border foreign trade bulk supply requirements. It is a universal and environmentally friendly isolation film for adhesive products, composite materials, electronic protection, and disposable consumables.

Application scenario

1. Various adhesive product base carriers and protective layers

2. Intermediate isolation layer in multi-layer composite process

3. Temporary surface protection for electronic components

4. Environmental-friendly alternative materials for disposable hygiene products

5. Separating auxiliary materials for cultural creation and die-cutting processing

Standard usage method

Identification of front and back sides and machine coating

Mark the silicone-coated surface and the corona processing surface on the end face of the roll material. The silicone-coated surface is the isolation surface and cannot be used for printing, composite or adhesive application; the 52-54 dynes corona surface is used as the back adhesive composite layer, for bonding with foam, non-woven fabric, and plastic substrates. Before machine operation, confirm the front and back sides to avoid problems such as silicone detachment or roller adhesion when using in reverse.

Match the silicone peel force according to the adhesive type

For low-viscosity stickers and medical acne stickers, choose the light silicone formula; for conventional double-sided adhesives and non-drying labels, choose the medium silicone standard model; for high-viscosity foam adhesives and strong industrial tapes, customize the heavy silicone coating. Provide the viscosity parameters of the adhesive before placing the order to precisely customize the peel force value and eliminate the problems of residual adhesive tearing or difficult detachment.

Standard operation for high-temperature processing

The temperature control for the short-term bonding and hot pressing process should be within 150-160℃. Do not allow continuous long-term high-temperature baking to avoid aging of the silicone coating and silicone transfer; for the high-temperature processing line, it is recommended to reduce the film conveying speed and shorten the time the film is heated and stays.

Tension control for film conveying by automated equipment

Set the cutting, rewinding, and coating equipment to the low-tension mode to avoid excessive tension causing size deviation and cracking of the silicone layer; for thin films of 12μm-30μm, prefer to pair with suspended roll materials to reduce the deformation of the roll material caused by transportation compression.

Requirements for use in the cutting workshop

Maintain a dust-free environment in the cutting workshop, keep the cutting tools smooth and sharp to prevent the generation of silicone powder at the cutting edge; seal and store the small rolls after cutting to prevent long-term exposure to dust and affect the release effect.

Key points of warehousing and daily maintenance

1. Requirements for standard warehousing environment

Storage warehouse for PET Silicone Coated Film should be kept dry and well-ventilated, with the environmental humidity controlled at 40%-65%. It should be kept away from heat sources, steam pipes, and direct sunlight. High-temperature and humid environments will accelerate the aging of the silicone coating and cause fluctuations in peel strength and silicone transfer phenomena; the rolls should be placed upright and are prohibited from being laid flat and piled up under heavy pressure.

2. Inventory turnover management

The recommended storage period for regular inventory is no more than 6 months, with the principle of first-in, first-out; for long-term storage rolls, the end faces of the rolls should be turned over once every 3 months to prevent uneven distribution of the silicone layer due to single-sided pressure, and samples should be taken for testing the peel strength before shipment to confirm stable performance.

3. Transportation protection and maintenance

For thin and high-precision release films, priority should be given to using suspended trays and export moisture-proof trays for packaging. The rolls should be equipped with guard corners, moisture-proof membranes, and desiccants. For ocean shipping orders, additional moisture-proof wooden boxes should be reinforced to avoid condensation during shipping, jolting, and rolling that could scratch the silicone coating.

4. Handling of defective rolls and protection

If scratches or wear on the roll end faces occur, the damaged sections should be discarded and not used in high-precision electronic or medical product production; the storage area should not store sharp metals or hard materials to prevent puncturing the film surface and damaging the silicone release layer.

5. Daily maintenance of processing workshops

The coating and die-cutting workshops should regularly clean dust to reduce the amount of dust adhering to the film surface; when the equipment is not in use for a long time, the entire roll of rolls should be sealed with PE film to isolate dust and prevent dust from embedding in the silicone layer, causing local adhesion and abnormal peel strength.
